AN AMAZING REVIEW OF EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED AT THE FAN CLUB PARTY IN NASHVILLE..... BY RISTIE ASKEW
The "Be Here" on the guitar is the name of the new album to be realeased Sept/Oct.  He said if Golden Road had a theme it would have been about freedom.  If this album has a theme, it would be about living in the moment, enjoying each day, making the most of each situation, if someone talks to you, then listen to them and be in the moment, in other words, BE HERE.  The first single, "Days Go By" will be released later this month.  He sang it and it is such an upbeat song...I love the line about "days go by...I can feel 'em flying like the wind past your hand out the window"...or something like that...the story he shared about this song was this....he writes a lot with Monty Powell.  They had written about a half a dozen songs but they just weren't being chosen because they didn't seem to fit this cd.  He was in the studio with the band and Dan Huff one Sunday afternoon after they had gotten back from being on the road.  He wanted so bad to record one of the songs he and Monty had written.  He thought Days Go By was a nice little song...he played a little of it for Dan Huff and he said YEAH! That sounds great; lets record it.  So Keith has the band there and he starts to sing it and for the life of him he can't remember the second verse.  He can't remember where he puts his car keys but he can remember the words to 24,000 songs, but here he can't remember the second verse to this song.  So, he calls Monty and tells him they are going to record Days Go By but he can't remember the words to the second verse.  Monty tells him there IS no second verse.  Keith then proceeds to tell him to get down here PRONTO because the band is there and they are recording and he just sang the first verse two times.  So Monty comes down, writes the second verse and they record it.  Then he sang it for ushville playing the banjo.  The sun was shining and he came to the realization that God has been good to him...he wrote this song...He played "God Has Been Good to Me" for us.  We all went wild...it is such a happy, upbeat song...almost as if it is a thankful prayer.  Based on our reaction, he said he would record it.  LOL!  YEA!!
Keith was SO APPRECIATIVE of us coming to the party and for buying his records and for buying them for friends and for us dragging friends to the concerts.  He said by the fact that we were ALL there, we must have liked what we heard.  "God Bless You!"
.  And then he told us the story about a song he just wrote 2 weeks ago...He said he does not believe in demos...he just takes his guitar and plays the song for the band and they learn it and then they record it and that is how he makes music.  Well this song he hasn't played it yet for the band but he has the gist of the lyrics and words.  He said to either be ready for a train wreck or semi-smooth sailing.  He wrote the song one day about a month ago.  He was in his hotel room in downtown Nashville playing the banjo.  The sun was shining and he came to the realization that God has been good to him...he wrote this song...He played "God Has Been Good to Me" for us.  We all went wild...it is such a happy, upbeat song...almost as if it is a thankful prayer.  Based on our reaction, he said he would record it.  LOL!  YEA!!

Keith Urban Dazzles Fans in Festival's Final Show
Keith Urban was magnificent. His band rocked just as hard as the rest of them but with infinitely more taste and nuance. Every version of his hits he performed was substantially different -- and better -- than the recordings he'd released to radio. He played them like he was having earnest conversations with his audience, so that each riff had the quality of an intimate verbal aside. Who, indeed, wouldn't want to be him?

THIS WAS WRITTEN TO A FRIEND OF MINE,
SHE GOT THIS FROM A FRIEND OF HERS, THAT JUST GOT BACK FROM NASHVILLE....
I THINK THIS SUMS UP EXACTLY HOW MUCH THINGS HAVE CHANGED FOR OUR KEITH

Seeing keith was also a highlight, he's a bona fide superstar now. So many people were wearing his T shirts around the streets and his reception at the Coliseum was HUGE!!! You should have heard the crowd. Can't remember who it was but someone said he would be the next Garth Brooks. Couldn't help but think about the tiny crowds we used to see him in just a few years back.
