I used to run in circles goin' no-where fast.
I'd take, uh, one step forward and two steps back.
Couldn't walk a straight line even if I wanted to, mmm, mmm.
I wanna love somebody,
Love somebody like you.

Whoa here we go now!

Yeah, I wanna feel the sunshine,
Shinin' down on me and you.
When you put your arms around me,
Well, baby there ain't nothing in this world I can't do.

Sometimes it's hard for me to understand,
But you're teachin' me to be a better man.
I don't want to take this life for granted like I used to do, no, no.
I wanna love somebody,
Love somebody like you.
SOMEBODY LIKE YOU FROM THE ALBUM-Golden Road (2002) - CERTIFIED DOUBLE PLATINUM IN THE USA  June 15, 2004
Somebody Like You — No. 1 for six weeks, beginning Oct. 19, 2002
It was the longest #1 hit on the Country Billboard Charts during 2002
"Golden Road" in 2002 it all started to come together. Looking back, Urban sees "Somebody Like You," the first single from "Golden Road," as a breakthrough.

"It stayed No. 1 for like six weeks and it seemed to find a lot of crossover appeal outside of country," he recalls, "and I noticed as soon as that song hit, that the audience started to get younger and it was a real change and it just kept going from then on. I don't know if there was a single turning point, but that one was certainly significant.
