MUSIC MAX SESSIONS
SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE  APRIL 2005
In the cavernous Sydney Opera House,
Keith Urban introduced himself to fans like it was his living room. He then broke out his guitar, ripping into his addictive, familiar songs in an atmosphere of genuine awe. A fantastic session.
Weds 27th April, Sydney Opera House
You would expect the top selling artist Keith Urban to arrive in a blaze of guitar slinging, whip-cracking and jingling country attire. Especially considering he has been performing for over a decade and hit the number 1 spot in the US with his Days Go By single.

Instead we were treated to an amazingly humble, down to earth, top class rock performer.

Extremely handsome, sun kissed and dressed in classic jeans and a t – the audience were behind him from the word go. Joined by his band which included the talented bassist from his original band THE RANCH, he guided us through a veritable session of past and present tunes.

He began by cranking out such instant classics as Days Go By, returned to his roots with some Ranch (his old band) much loved tunes and finished with a fantastic rendition of his new single You're My Better Half and Somebody.

The Max Sessions are an amazing opportunity to see world music performers in an intimate setting – in front of only about three hundred lucky people. Don’t worry if you missed out on being there – the Max Sessions are on air Saturdays from 5:30pm. I know, I checked, as Keith was so fantastic I want to see him again!

Heres to an amazing Australian talent- lets not pigeon hole him as a country singer as it may put people off. Instead recognise him as an important,. home grown, rock talent – a hot one at that.
