Leno Performance Spikes Urban Sales Still Selling After All These Weeks By Neil Haislop, Country Forever Productions NASHVILLE, TN Monday 2.9.2004 /netmusiccountdown.com/ -- The power of an appearance on a big TV show like The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, showed up after Keith Urban's Tonight Show shot last week. After singing 'You'll Think of Me,' on the show, the sales of his GOLDEN ROAD CD spiked upward as did his downloads of the tune from Itunes. Not bad after nearly seventy weeks since its debut, Keith Urban's Golden Road has led back to the Billboard Top Country Album Chart Top 10 and still shows no signs of slowing down. f 2/5/2004 Wynonna joined many talented artists and writers on February 3, 2004 for BrightStone's Music That Touches The Heart 2. The benefit was held at The Factory in Wynonna's hometown of Franklin, Tennessee. Wynonna opened her set with "Somebody To Love You" followed by "Rock Bottom", "Burnin' Love", "It All Comes Down To Love", "Testify To Love", an unforgettable "How Great Thou Art" and finally her recent smash hit, "What The World Needs". It was a night filled with not only music, love and laughter but admiration as well when Wynonna welcomed her friend and special guest keith urban to the stage. Wynonna told the audience how much she admires keith and cherishes the friendship he has with not only herself but her family as well. Keith returned the love, telling the audience that when Wynonna called to ask him to perform he immediately said yes, remembering her willingness to help him out at his recent "Max It Out" benefit. After keith performed two of his hit singles, Wynonna joined him on stage for a rousing version of "No One Else On Earth" that had the packed house on their feet and dancing in the aisles! message from the international fan club 3rd August 2004 Dear Friends: I hope this email finds you well and having a good summer! Moving online has been a great thing and although making the transition has not always been smooth, we've enjoyed being able to give you guys so much more "of Keith" than we ever could have in a tri-annual newsletter. The videos, questions and answers, pre-sale tickets and insider footage have been well received by each of you and we can hardly wait for you to see what we've got planned for the future - including opportunities to purchase the album before street date! The decision was made that after November, we will be unable to have any more fan club meet and greet passes. While not being able to provide meet and greets, please know we are going to work doubly hard to give you added "Keith stuff." As far as the next annual fan club party goes, we are planning to have a party. As everyone who attended this year's party will confirm, it was the best ever and was a special treat to see Keith at the historic Ryman Auditorium. So with positive thoughts, we look forward to a great fan club party in 2005. Unforseen circumstances can come up at anytime, however, we are working toward that goal. Thank you for all you do for Keith and your continued love and support for his music! All good thoughts, Sharon Eaves Fan Clubhouse |
